What are your ideal lace making conditions?
ie. Do you prefer to knit with a cuppa coffe nearby? Music, lighting, favorite chair?
IN THE TOILET. THE POTTY. THE BATHROOM. THE WC. WATER CLOSET, IF YOU WILL.
WHY?

Because that's the only place that I can think straight and get a bit of time to knit.
I'm kidding, really. No, really.
I usually knit at night after everyone's in bed and hub is watching football or what have you.

Ha! We don't have functional door locks, so no privacy for mama. I'd have to flee to the car or something. Can you just imagine me trying to knit while they pounded on the doors and screamed? The neighbors would love it.
Anyone who can knit lace after the kidlets go to bed has my respect.
